Critically Acclaimed New Book Three Boys Missing

Book Summary and Information Sheet

Robert Peterson and Anton and John Schuessler left home one afternoon to see a Disney movie. Two days later their nude and brutalized bodies were found in a forest preserve. This firsthand account details the tragedy of this horrible crime, which took 40 years to solve. While the story is heartbreaking, it is an important one to tell. A man, who authorities now believe molested hundreds of boys, went undetected for more than four decades.

My hope is that the story of the Peterson-Schuessler murder will help to create awareness and educate parents and caregivers in ways that will protect children from sexual predators, particularly "unknown predators."

Excerpt from Publishers Weekly

This fast-paced account of the murder of three young teenage boys in Chicago in 1955 reads like a Law and Order SVU episode. Jack, the lead police detective on the case who followed the investigation for more than four decades, brings an authentic voice and a Mickey Spillane style to this account.

Excerpt from ALA Booklist

Jack's report documents the horror of a crime that developed into many Americans' first exposure to the pedophiliac criminal underground.
